Two Destination Language presents

Sat 29 Jul, 10:00am at Elland Central Square

Tickets: Free

Landed is a one on one performance about the people who make Elland what it is today: celebrating its past, its present and dreams for its future. Come and join us for a short performance made with the people of your community.

Internationally acclaimed performance artists Two Destination Language have worked with local people in Elland to discover the loves and passions that shape the town. These are local stories, told by local people — small but vital pieces in the jigsaw of the place.

Each experience lasts about 10 minutes and takes place in a specially constructed chamber made to feel like a cosy little room. Outside the chambers, audiences and passers-by can take part in an interactive installation of written and drawn memories of loves that you share for the place and its people.

The project will transfer to The Piece Hall on Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October.

Limited places available between 10am and 2pm (each experience lasting approx. 10 minutes)

This project is part of  Landlines & Watermarks: a valley-wide arts programme telling the story of a place and a people shaped by water, presented by 509 Arts in partnership with the people of the Calder Valley.

It is supported by Arts Council England, Calderdale MBC and Community Foundation for Calderdale.
