This silent classic, from film pioneer Cecil Hepworth, was set around Heptonstall, West Yorkshire and is a rural melodrama in which the heroine falls victim to a devious villain. The Yorkshire landscape lends itself to a film full of treachery, madness and thwarted love.

The film will be accompanied by a live piano score from pianist Darius Battiwalla.
