Live piano with Darius Battiwalla

Buster Keaton Shorts with Live Piano (Schools Performance)

Tue 21 May, 1:30pm at Square Chapel Arts Centre

Tickets: Schools tickets £3, teachers are free / All other tickets £5 , approx running time: 60 minutes, without interval

Age: 7+

A unique opportunity for schools to see a double bill of fabulous Buster Keaton black and white silent film shorts: One Week and The Scarecrow, with live piano accompaniment and introduction by Darius Battiwalla.  All brought to life on our big cinema screen.

Buster was a master of slapstick and physical comedy and performed all his own stunts – some of which were extremely daring.  It’s also a great opportunity to see what everything looked like in the 1920’s!

This performance has been programmed especially for schools as part of our Open Door project – aiming to make the arts more accessible to schools in Calderdale.  Open Door offers heavily subsidised tickets to schools and is supported with a grant from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.  To make a booking for your school group, please email the outreach team at info@squarechapel.co.uk or telephone our box office on 01422 349422.  Some seats may be available to the public, but please note that school groups get priority and are seated together.  To enquire about public tickets, please telephone our box office or call in person.
