Sat 07 Dec, 4:45pm at Copper Auditorium
Tickets: £7-£5 (Ticket price includes a £1 Theatre Support Fee), approx running time: 60mins + Q&A
Why do humans make art? When did we begin to make our mark on the world? And where? In this documentary, Antony Gormley sets out on a journey to see and discover the very beginnings of art.
We are delighted that freelance documentary film-maker and Director, Morag Tinto will be joining us for a post screening Q&A. Morag has also directed other Gormley documentaries including the BBC’s Being Human.
Morag Tinto is a freelance documentary film-maker. Often working solo behind the camera or sometimes with a small crew her work has a distinctive connection with its subject. She has made documentaries in prisons, hospitals and artists’ studios. How Art Began is the third film she has made with Antony Gormley.
Morag is a graduate of the National Film and Television School and winner of the RTS award for non-fiction cinematography.
This event is part of Antony Gormley – An unveiling and series of events celebrating the British sculptor and his work to launch our pay it forward campaign. Find out more
