Irvine Welsh, the acclaimed and often controversial writer of novels and screenplays comes to Square Chapel to share stories of his life and career.

His debut novel Trainspotting (1993) became a huge household name and the gritty depiction of Edinburgh life was quickly adapted for stage and screen. Other novels including Porno, Filth and Glue have enjoyed similar critical acclaim.

Irvine Welsh will be in conversation with broadcaster Alex Cann.
