Celebrated international pianist, Derek Paravicini, is joined by special guests, including Music and the Deaf, beneficiaries of The Amber Trust and the talented choir and musicians from Highbury School, for a very special afternoon of music.

Born blind, Derek demonstrated savant-like abilities from a young age and was a musical prodigy on the piano.  He first shot to fame at 9 years old, playing jazz with the Royal Philharmonic Pops Orchestra at the Barbican in London.  Numerous TV appearances followed, combined with performances across the UK, Europe and the USA – among them, Ronnie Scott’s jazz club, the Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas and for Mohammad Ali in Arizona.  He performed twice at Buckingham Palace in 2016.

Able to play any song from memory that he has heard only once, Derek has wowed audiences around the globe with his breath-taking talent and technique.

His biography: In the Key of Genius: The Extraordinary Life of Derek Paravicini, was published by Random House in 2008.
