A Frog Called Woânda (schools performance)
Tue 23 Oct, 1:30pm at Square Chapel Red Brick Auditorium
Tickets: Schools tickets £3. All other tickets £5 , approx running time: 50 minutes without interval
An exciting new international collaboration between the UK and Montreal, Canada.
Laura’s world is turned upside down after she loses her mother’s special ring down the plughole. To Laura’s surprise, up pops Woânda, a frog who has taken up residence in the bathroom pipes. Together, they search for the ring through a whirlwind of twists and turns that combine dreams with reality and laughter with tears.
Told through live action, puppetry, music and shadows, this is a funny and touching story of love, loss and friendship.
This show has been programmed for schools as part of Square Chapel’s Open Door schools outreach programme, aiming to make the arts more accessible to children in Calderdale. Open Door is supported with a grant from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
Some tickets may be available to the public, subject to availability, but please note that seating is unrestricted and schools groups are given priority over seating. Please contact us for more information.
