Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
Our volunteers support us by assisting with our Front of House team, welcome patrons to the building, sell programmes and support the staff team to ensure health and safety standards are met within our theatre space.
Volunteering is as great an opportunity for you as it is for us. You will enjoy the opportunity to see theatre and music, meet new people, and gain an insight into the inner life of a thriving arts organisation. Full training, sharing your existing skills, discovering new ones and boost your CV.
A significant number of volunteers have gone on to secure jobs in the arts and here at Square Chapel as a result of the skills and experience gained with us. Whatever your motivations for volunteering, we can assure you that you will be warmly welcomed by everyone here.
“I was warmly welcomed from the first day that I walked into the building and it wasn’t long before I was being allocated volunteer shifts. After only a relatively short period of time I felt part of the team. I am looking forward to making a meaningful contribution to the running of the arts centre over the weeks, months and hopefully years to come and would thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone who has a wider interest in the artistic scene.” Andy, volunteer.
Square Chapel has recently had major renovations to improve the facilities and create some fabulous new spaces which opened in June 2017. Find out more about our future here.
