Sam’s Spectacular Shows: Monstersaurus
Wed 6 Nov, 2019This post was written by squarechapel
One of the many lovely projects we deliver at Square Chapel is our Open Door schools programme, which enables children to access to the arts from a young age. We deliver a termly programme of professional performances with subsidised tickets, alongside workshops in schools exploring creative writing. This season, Sam came along to Monstersaurus by Big Wooden Horse and gave us his thoughts.
“My name is Sam and went to see Monstersaurus in October. Monstersaurus was about a boy called Monty who had a magic book; he made some monsters by putting slime in a jar and other slime strange things.
The friendly monster then made the monsters go away then they went to the moon in a rocket.
I really liked watching the show because it was exciting. I liked the songs, Monty’s mum and Monty. I also liked the book, the monsters and the sounds.”
If you work with a school or nursery, or want to bring you own children to see some high-quality theatre, we have some really exciting shows coming up as part of our festive season. The Snow Dragon is here later this month on 24th and 25th November, which promises to be full of songs and laughs. Then in December we have Story Pocket Theatre with their version of Arabian Nights. And for any schools wanting to receive details about our subsidised ticket offer, please email maria.spadafora@squarechapel.co.uk
