Monday 25 November, 7.15pm

Fans who missed out on the last Chris Morris (secret event) held at Square Chapel Arts centre, now have the chance to see him in personal on stage and hear about the real-life events that influenced his past and latest film creations.

Highly regarded cult Director and Writer, Chris Morris returns to Square Chapel Arts centre in Halifax on Monday 25th November from 7.15pm. Morris and the Arts Centre’s Film Programmer Dave Garratt, will introduce the evening followed by a screening of his latest film ‘The Day Shall Come’ (2019) and end with a question and answer session with the man himself.

Film Programmer Dave Garratt said: “This is a typically funny but biting satire and another revealing film about politics and the systems behind it from the genius Chris Morris. Based on many years of research and true events involving the FBI in America, this is one of the most exciting films of 2019.”

Almost a decade on The Day Shall Come is the much anticipated follow up to the film Four Lions by Chris Morris. An impoverished preacher who brings hope to the Miami projects is offered cash to save his family from eviction. He has no idea his sponsor works for the FBI, and the FBI plans on turning him into a criminal by fuelling his revolutionary dream.
