Festive Family Films
Families who head to the Square Chapel cinema, can grab some popcorn and then see Frozen 2 (PG) from Friday 13 December. Put on those hats and gloves, wrap up warm and join Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven in this icy, magical adventure as they leave Arendelle to travel to an ancient, autumn-bound forest of an enchanted land. They set out to find the origin of Elsa’s powers in order to save their kingdom. This is the perfect Christmas family treat! visit squarechapel.co.uk or ask box office for screening dates and times.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without everyone’s favourite elf. Buddy was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised among Santa’s elves. Christmas enthusiasts can see Elf (PG) on Saturday 21 December at 11am, Sunday 22 December at 1.30pm and Tuesday 24 December, 2pm. Tickets range from £5 to £7 and can be booked in person, via phone or online.
The Grinch is on his way back to the big screen again and just in time for Christmas! The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary life inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. The green grumpy Grinch gets aggravated when his neighbours, in Whoville, celebrate the holidays with a bang. Families are invited to the Whoville’s Christmas for a magical adventure. The Grinch (PG) will be showing at the Square Chapel cinema on Saturday 21 December at 2pm and Monday 23 December at 11am. Tickets are priced from £5 to £7.
Something for the grown-ups
Queen fans will want to be at Square Chapel on Saturday 21 December from 7:30pm for the Bulsara and His Queenies Christmas Party. After raising the roof last season, Bulsara and His Queenies are back by popular demand. This time they are providing the entertainment for everyone’s staff Christmas party.
There are no wigs, no yellow jackets and no attempt to look like Queen. Instead, the band’s whole ethos is based upon performing studio versions of the songs rather than hiding behind gimmicks including all the hits because the show must go on! Fans are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes as they will want to boogie and shout ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’. Tickets are priced at £24 and can be booked via the Square Chapel box office.
