Marketing Officer

Full time (37.5 hours) £18,000 per annum

Marketing experience essential, ideally in an arts environment.  You will be responsible for the marketing and promotion of Square Chapel’s programme of events, as well as its website and online ticketing systems, under the direction of the Marketing Manager. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy is also essential.

Orangebox young people's centre is looking for professionals, members of the community, parents and young people who are willing to share their time, skills, knowledge and experience to make a difference in Young Peoples’ lives. Orangebox in Calderdale is recruiting a new board of Trustees and needs people with a wide variety of experience and expertise.

The centre is superbly situated in the heart of Halifax Town centre, right next to the Piece Hall.

The centre has state of the art facilities and offers a wide ranging programme and variety of support services. This great combination enables young people to develop new skills, access new opportunities and learn new things in a truly inspirational and supportive space that has been designed by young people for young people.

Orangebox aims to be a charity by 2016 and is starting to recruit for the board of Trustees, so Orangebox can evolve into an independent sustainable organisation for generations to come.

Orangebox young people's centre
Level 2 Supporting Live Events and Promotion Apprenticeship

This role offers an opportunity for someone to learn all the skills required to plan and deliver live events, right from the initial stages through to completion. This will include learning about marketing and promoting events, ticket sales and the administrative side of booking and contracting live events.

Orangebox is brand new young people’s centre, based in Halifax Town Centre, and is part of the Square Chapel Trust. It hosts a growing programme of live events throughout the year and offers young people from aged 13 to 19 years a wide range of opportunities to enjoy or participate in creative activities.

Apprentices will be managed by the Centre Manager, but will work across the whole organisation, supporting the day to day running of Orangebox and maintaining high levels of customer service.

Café Co-ordinator

Salary £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. 
Fixed to 31st December 2015 (extension subject to funding)

To co-ordinate the development of a vibrant, friendly and educational café at Orangebox, to create a sustainable enterprise that will contribute to the programme at the Centre.

This includes the development and delivery of a professional service in the café providing an affordable menu and catering for internal and external hires. The post holder will also support a range of programmes which support young peoples’ personal and social development.

Young People’s Development Worker
18.5 hours a week, flexible to include evenings and weekends

To lead the development of projects working directly with and for young people in Calderdale, in partnership with a variety of professionals, organisations and specialist services. Delivering an enjoyable, challenging and educational programme that seeks to promote young peoples’ personal and social development and enable them to have a voice, influence and place in their communities and society as a whole.

This exciting new initiative will initially focus on the design, delivery and evaluation of a fun, engaging and accredited programme that promotes healthy lifestyles, increases young peoples’ resilience and offers a range of personal and social development opportunities.

Business Administrator & PA to the Director

12 hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 8am to 12 noon      

Salary £17,000 per annum, pro rata, fixed to 31st March 2016 (extension subject to funding)

To support the Director and to be the first port of call for enquiries, providing a friendly, welcoming and professional face to young people and other visitors.

The right candidate will be professional, efficient and proactive and will work with the Director and also oversee Orangebox’s data information system (Views) to record young peoples’ attendance and outcomes, and process hire enquiries and room bookings.
