Joe Stead, musician and sea shanty singer with Kimber’s Men, presents a fascinating insight into the life of this remarkable man, who possessed one of the finest voices of the 20th century.

Paul Robeson was an extraordinary individual and this lecture is rich with stories about his ambitions and achievements.

Born in 1898 in New Jersey, a time when segregation was legal in the United States, and the lynching of black people by white mobs was still a common occurrence, African American Paul Robeson became a successful athlete, singer, actor and advocate for the civil rights of people around the world.
