Boothby Graffoe: ‘Nomad. No sane either…’ Makin Projects
Sunday 10 March 7:30pm
A hilarious new tour for 2013 from Boothby Graffoe.
Boothby’s dislikes include name-droppers and people who use celebrity connections to promote themselves in an unrealistic way...
“Boothby Graffoe is a multitalented, darkly hilarious British eccentric. A musical comedy act who is more musical than most musicians, and funnier than most comedians” Stewart Lee
“If I had to compare him to anyone, it would be Spike Milligan” Omid Djalili
It is rumoured that most stand-ups secretly want to be rock stars, their ambition generally thwarted by a complete lack of musical ability. Boothby Graffoe is different, his gigs combine jokes, anecdotes and comedy songs for a night of what he calls “cheerfully pessimistic” offbeat humour. The funnyman decided to name himself after the Lincolnshire village whilst driving back from a late night gig in the 1980s.
He was a writer on ‘The Omid Djalili Show’ for the BBC and Omid is a big fan of Boothby’s work, other celebrity fans include Canadian band Barenaked Ladies who he has supported on three of their UK tours.
Don't miss this night of hilarious gags and songs.
