What’s it like to always be one of a pair, always share the praise and blame, and never ever to have a birthday cake that’s just for you?

Famous twins, Jessie and Bessie, have been touring together forever. As Jessie tells Bessie, “On the road, darling, you’re never alone.” – but Glenda the new drag act seems to be taking togetherness a bit too literally.

Funny and fascinating, The Ugly Spirit is commissioned by Unlimited for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, before it is performed in London a few lucky people will be treated to a special private audience with Jessie and Bessie.

Combining the fruity bits of stand up with the crunchy bits of a new play, let Glenda take you for, a tongue in cheek, guided tour through the bits of the theatre you don’t usually get to see.

Take a peek behind the curtain and let her lead you to the side rooms that smell of sweat and stardust before the twins provide a unique and hilarious insight into a lifetime on the road.
