Musical Measures

Weekly music-making workshops for adults with learning difficulties, starting in September 2004 and running until June 2005.

For people with learning difficulties who have an interest in music and music-making and who want to develop their skills and meet new people in the beautiful surroundings of Square Chapel. Working with experienced teacher and musician, Martin Dearnley, participants will have the chance to try lots of different musical instruments and explore different musical styles. There will be the opportunity for people to perform their work to the public at Square Chapel at the end of the project next year.

This project has been funded by Arts Council Yorkshire, under their Grants for the Arts scheme.

If you are interested in coming to the workshops or would like more information, please contact Michaela O'Sullivan on 01422 353073.

There will be scope for people to try their hand at lots of different materials and techniques, working with an experienced tutor. Work produced will be exhibited to the public at the end of the course.

Places are FREE to people resident or attending day services in the SRB6 areas of Halifax.
