Hiring Square Chapel

Building Capacity

The total number of people allowed in the building is 300. This includes everyone - all staff, volunteers and performers.

The maximum number of audience tickets we permit is 280. This is our upper capacity for guests, attendees or audience members.

Please discuss numbers with Square Chapel staff before promoting your event.

Box Office

ALL TICKETS for all events must be sold through Square Chapel's Box Office. Admissions based events where tickets are not sold, pay on the door events and conferences are exempt from this policy. Square Chapel Box Office will provide credit card facilities, postage, tickets and stationary and will charge 5% commission on ticket sales.

Square Chapel can provide the following equipment:

There is no charge, but please notify us of your requirements when booking.

Yamaha baby grand piano (extra charge if tuning is required)
Carousel slide projector
Small & Large Projector Screens (we do not provide either a projector or laptop)
Flip chart, stand, pens
Small lectern
Theatre lighting (extra charge if a theatre technician is required)
Full P.A. sound system (extra charge if a theatre technician is required)

Where possible, Square Chapel will do its best to help with particular requests, however:

We do not have room for storage - if you wish to leave items with us, please ask.
We cannot always accept delivery of items (particularly bulky objects) in advance.
We can only allow access between the agreed hire times, as we may need to clean the building or tune the piano between hires, so please do not arrive early or leave late.
If you are hiring at the Community Rate, please clear up before you leave.
We are able to offer you reduced rates on condition that you leave Square Chapel clean and tidy and put away any equipment and chairs you have used.

Catering

Square Chapel can arrange catering for your event from £4.50 per person. Please contact our Centre Manager to discuss your requirements.
